Retail India: Reliance's US$ 6 Billion Investment in Retail India
Whilst there has been speculation of Reliance's interest in entering the Retail Market, the recent news is the investments could be to the tune of US$ 6 Billion over a period of 5 years. Reliance's interest in entering the highly unorganized retail market in india is highly watched due to the sheer size of the group. So long there have been a select few Business Groups in India investing over the last 15 years and building up a national presence. Reliance could change that in less than a year or two with its sheer financial muscle and the ability to attract talent.
Till the secretive group makes an official coment, its anybody's guess on when Reliance would be making its entry in Retail India.
