Retail India: Whats the Fuss About Fresh?
There seems to be a sudden craze and fuss about using "Fresh" as your brand. Heritage Foods, Reliance Retail, Bharti Retail, Spencers Retail are a few who are already flouting the idea of Fresh and there hardly seems to be much differnce in thier logos.
Although yes the rationale behing the brand Fresh in grocery retailing is obvious, but then is't it something else to be more creative in your branding than to just immitate what everyones aping? Anyways its always nice know that all the money spent on brand identity is well spent :)
So are we going to see each one fighting over who started the "Fresh" concept first? It will be a good start to have some lawsuits in this country over branding though.

Your blog is nice. I think you should add your blog at BlogAdda and let more people discover your blog. It's a great place for Indian bloggers to be in and I am sure it would do wonders for your blog.

ya its true that there are lots of brands which uses the tag "Fresh". I think it's a good way to attract customers.speaking of creativity, here in bangalore there is an online shopping portal called storrz.com, which allows customers to buy groceries online.Their web site is at http://www.storrz.com

This is vendetta by Amar Singh against Mukesh Ambani of RIL and the scapegoat was Banwari Lal Kunchal. Amar Singh has said in an interview that he distrusts Mukesh Ambani, he hates Mukesh Ambani and he dislikes Mukesh Ambani.
Amar Singh had a grudge and he showed this by trying to close Reliance Fresh Outlet on the 1st day of their opening.
Mayawati has to bow down before SP leader Amar Singh so as to protect her government from falling.
Also, RIL wasn't giving gas to Anil Ambani, this could also be another reason.

Reliance will benefit more as its design will become dominant due to high penetration.Read more at http://www.proteusadvisors.com/labels/Retail.html

Hey nice blog. Good effort. Sorry about the arbitrary comments below! I just wish to point out that there are a few typos here and there (like Store "Lanuchpad" for instance).
I'm researching the retail industry for some work. Thanks for this blog. It will be very helpful. Any idea where I could get info on retail business management, more specifically related to financial management(cash flow/accounting) and in-store management(display, customer care). Also the career path of shop floor employee.
